Audiobook narrator - Nigel Peever

Nigel started acting as teenager and after numerous local am drams was very lucky to be offered an equity card the old fashioned way through weekly rep at the Lyceum Theatre in Crewe, working with future stars Owen Teale of Game of Thrones and Mark Jordon of YTV Heartbeat Fame.

Many years followed as  jobbing actor appearing in touring theatre, pantomimes and hundreds of blink and you'll miss it TV shows. As a burglar in a Galton and Simpson comedy series with Paul Merton, a yob motorcyclist with Gwen Taylor in The Sharp end and as one of the original crew of the space ship Red Dwarf to name a few. He had a few lead roles in commercials including being flown to Hamburg for a series of adverts  Nigel has also worked in many pantomimes with stars like Vince Hill, Clodagh Rogers, The Chuckle Brothers, Jimmy Cricket, and more recently Mark The Beast Labett from The Chase.

Once again luck played a part and he was invited to read his first audiobook for Oakhill Publishing before audible was invented and spent the next few years in the lap of luxury recording CD Box set audiobooks for libraries in a studio with a recording engineer. Now Nigel is one man band producer with his own studio and has produced over 80 books for audible.

Nigel is a fan of the producers at Big Finish and even helped them out when they started in the 1980's as audio visuals,  so there can be no doubt that his use of music and sfx is very much inspired by their productions.
